Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you use the service. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy.
Wren uses cookies and similar technologies to deliver a secure, functional experience. This policy explains which cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
Cookies We Use
We categorise our cookies into two groups:
Essential Cookies
These cookies are required for Wren to function correctly. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features of the platform. Essential cookies include:
- Authentication: Keeps you signed in to your account across pages and sessions.
- Session management: Maintains your active session state so your work is not lost.
- Security preferences: Stores CSRF (cross-site request forgery) tokens to protect your account from malicious requests.
- Cookie consent: Remembers whether you have acknowledged this cookie policy.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use Wren so we can improve the service. All analytics data is anonymised and aggregated. Analytics cookies track:
- Page views and navigation paths within the platform.
- Feature usage patterns, such as which dashboard sections are most visited.
- Session duration and return visit frequency.
- General device and browser information (no personally identifiable data).
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the Wren landing site (getwren.au) to understand how visitors interact with our marketing pages. GA4 collects anonymised and aggregated data including page views, referral sources, approximate geographic location (derived from IP address), and device/browser information. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
The following cookies may be set by GA4:
| Cookie name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. Used to calculate visitor, session, and campaign data for site analytics. | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_* | Used by GA4 to maintain session state across page loads. The suffix is unique to the GA4 property. | Analytics | 2 years |
_gid | Distinguishes unique users for the current 24-hour period. Used to throttle the request rate and group user activity within a single day. | Analytics | 24 hours |
We do not use Google Analytics data for individual-level profiling, behavioural advertising, or cross-site tracking. We do not use Meta Pixel, retargeting pixels, or similar third-party advertising analytics services.
Analytics cookies can be disabled through your browser settings without affecting core platform functionality. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-Party Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting technologies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising networks.
The third-party services that may set cookies on your device are our payment provider (Stripe) during checkout and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for anonymised usage analytics on our landing site. The GA4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) are detailed in the Analytics Cookies section above. These providers operate under their own privacy and cookie policies.
Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are currently stored on your device.
- Delete individual cookies or clear all cookies at once.
- Block cookies from specific websites or block all third-party cookies.
- Set your browser to notify you before a cookie is placed.
Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in, maintaining your session, or using certain features of Wren. If you disable analytics cookies, it will not affect your experience, but it does limit our ability to improve the service based on usage patterns.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email at the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
